New York City
Last weekend I took a trip down to New York for the Millennium Campus Conference (but primarily to see my very best friend RACHEL BECK!) Besides being in NYC, the trip was crazy. I got into the city so late, so I wasn't able to check into Rachel's residence hall, and therefore we had to sleep outside. HA! That was the most epic night of my life. Yet, we endured, and the next two days the conference proceeded. We were able to meet the Invisible Children roadies (including Brenda and Benna from Uganda) as well as get a crap load of information about other non-profits. It was quite overwhelming, but a good overwhelming. Being with rachel (while the rest of the gang was gettin' janky in Barstow) was so refreshing. And it all concluded with the broadway show Next to Normal. That was when I died happy. Legitimately, the show blew me away. I was so stoked! Oh, and I missed my bus back because of the show. :) But, it was all worth it.
